Catalina "Katie" PadillaGonzales 4/12/27 ~ 12/22/03 Together Again  Our dearest mother, grandma, great and great great grandma, sister, aunt, and friend, rejoined her beloved Felipe December 22, 2003. Katie was born on April 12, 1927 in Cerrillos, New Mexico to Vivian and Grace Nieto Padilla. She is survived by her children, Rose Cordova, Joseph, Sr. (Charise), Robert, Sr. (Jill), Betty (Don) Manning, Philip, Jr. (Nora), Kathy (Ed) Riding, and a very special daughter-in-law, Dolores (Joe) Trujillo. 43 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Sisters, Nellie, Mary, Erma, and Evelyn. Katie was preceded in death by her husband, Felipe, sons, James and John, Sr., brothers, Vivian and George, her parents, a grandson, Daniel, and great granddaughter, Erica. Her love and generosity for her family will always remain in our hearts. Katie enjoyed selling Home Interior for 15 years. She loved to fish, going to Wendover, and playing the lotto. She was especially happy when her family gathered for their favorite soap opera, "Passions". The family would like to thank the staff of Community Nursing Services, especially Carol Hansen and also Illa and Audrey for bring communion. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 3580 West 3650 South. A vigil service will be held Friday at 7:00 P.M. at Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, where friends may call from 6- 7 p.m.  Committal: Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4th Avenue and T Street.
