I just found out from a newspaper clipping that Riley Cannon was the kind sheriff who found my deceased father, Sam L. Taylor, in Emigration Canyon in 1968. I'm very thankful for Riley's service. If anyone in the family knows more, I'd be grateful to learn. Kindest regards, Gwendolyn Taylor Soper

Riley, a good friend. I never had the opportunity to attend your funeral and now it has been four years. I wish I had kept in touch with through the years because we were such good friend during our school years.I wonder where our other school buddies are--Boyce, Pete, Eldon. I'll see you sometime in the life to come. Bert

Riley was my neighbor for a year, and he was the best neighbor ever. He always had a smile and handshake for me, no matter how much pain he was going through each day. The world was a better place for having Riley in it.

Riley was a great sergeant. He had the pleasure of being my first sergeant in patrol. He had just been transferred from the homicide unit and wasn't happy about it. He was a great mentor and he will be remembered fondly by my family... I will miss you.

To the family of Riley. So sorry to hear of his passing. We were friends in Hunter from the 8th grade on thru high school. We had a lot of good times together. I remember we sluffed school from Cyprus High until we finally got caught. Riley came from a great family and and was a good person. For years I have wanted to go see him but good intentions a worthless unless acted upon. Sorry.

Riley Cannon was the best in my book and anybody that knew him. To the family Riley lived a good life and was kind to everybody. Have a lot of good memories and good times working Valley Fair Mall in the 70's where he was working Security and at the federal Courthouse in Salt lake City where I saw him last. RIP Riley Cannon.

Riley was the best step dad. He took on two kids that loved him very much. He was our dad for 52 years. Could not ask for a better dad. I remember Riley, me and Bert would sit in the old chair and watch his favorite show The Untouchables. Bert and I love you very much. R.I.P DAD
