We were saddened to hear of the loss of such a wonderful man. He was always kind and loving toward us and we have many fond memories of him. I still can hear his amazing piano music. All our love to the family.

We remember our dear friend Peggy Shimp, Bill's first wife and mother of his five sons, when we played bridge together. We always enjoyed each others company.

Dick and I have many fond memories of dining with the Shimps.
We remember their many parties. One in
particular was Peg's wonderful Prime Rib
roast and Bill playing "Beyond The Sea" on his piano.
We always enjoyed their company.

One is lucky to meet heroes in life; "Colonel" Shimp was certainly one of mine. Tremendous mentor and friend. I am certainly a better lawyer and person for having known him. Most sincere condolences to Helen and the family.

Bill was a wonderful person. He was always pleasant, calm and there to help. He was a real joy to be with, whether in the prosecutor's office or in the Jury Room.

My parents (Hal and Betty Meier) were friends with the Shimps and enjoyed many happy occasions together. I love the stories about scenic drives because that describes my dad as well and is something common to that generation. Please enjoy your happy memories.

I have such fond memories of many Pre Easter nights with Peg and Bill Coloring eggs and filling Easter baskets with goodies for their 5 boys and our 4 children. I can still see four pair of white shoes lined up on the kitchen counter where Peg had polished them for Easter Morning. I will always remember our good
times together.
