Cocoa Beach, FL
James Harkins, born June 20, 1959, beloved father, brother, son and friend, passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on Monday, June 23, 2014 in California.
Jim grew up in Titusville during the height of the space program. He attended Titusville High and graduated from UEI in Tampa. His distinguished career was also in the space industry, working many years with Boeing at KSC and then early 2000's to present day, with Boeing Sea-Launch in California. Jim was highly regarded at work and he will be sorely missed by his co-workers.
Jim will also be missed by his many friends and loved ones. Words cannot describe our sorrow. He was preceded in death by his loving mother Chiarina, Christmas 2012.
A memorial for Jim will be held at his home at 162 Wilson Ave, Cocoa Beach on Thursday, July 3, from 5- 8 p.m. Friends and family are invited to join us for his remembrance.
We love you Jim.
