Cletus Lothamer

CLETUS LOTHAMER, 85, of Largo, Fla., died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2007, in Fort Wayne. Born May 17, 1922, in Fort Wayne, he attended Central Catholic High School. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran; a Fort Wayne Police Detective retiring after 21 years; and worked in security at Zollner Corp. for 17 years. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Seminole, Fla. He was a good caring husband, father, grandfather and brother. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Gloria Lothamer of Largo, Fla.; children, Gloria Jean Lothamer of Fort Wayne and Dennis (Rene) Lothamer of Yulee, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Darlene Koch; siblings, Don (Donna) Lothamer, Lawrence (Marcelline) Lothamer, Rosemary Grist, Geraldine Bailey, Herb (Karen) Lothamer, Jim (Judy) Lothamer; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son, Ronald Lothamer; and brothers, Paul, Chuck, Ed, and Robert Lothamer. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Thursday at Risen Savior Lutheran Church, 8010 Jefferson Blvd. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home or the church.
