NIKOLAOS PLIASTOS

NIKOLAOS PLIASTOS, 42, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021. born on July19, 1978 in Fort Wayne, Ind., Niko was the son of Kosmas and Chrisoula Pliastos; they survive. He worked at Casa Restaurant for 26 years, as manager, recently promoted to Chief Operating Officer. His family was his world. He enjoyed driving to hockey games and practices with his son, Filippas, and watching his daughters, Lydia and Samantha play volleyball and dance. He loved the lake and fishing and playing drums and singing in a band. Niko graduated from Homestead High School in 1996 and Indiana University/Purdue University, Fort Wayne in 2001 where he played collegiate soccer. Niko married Cindy Parrish on Oct. 8, 2005. He was an active member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and served on the parish council in prior years. Also surviving are his wife, Cindy Pliastos; children, Filippas, Lydia and Samantha; sisters, Katerina (Dave) Byrum and Alexandra (Tony) Arata; nieces and nephews, Giovanna, Isaiah, Ava, Elijah, Josephine, Haley, Brianna, Kiersten, Taylor, and Eli; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Michael and Linda Parrish; and Godson, Nick Baker. Funeral service ia 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 110 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, Ind. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 21, 2021, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, with a Trisagion Service at 7 p.m. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, Ind. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church or Camp Watcha Wanna Do. Arrangements entrusted to D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home.
