Gloria Figueroa Obituary
Gloria Figueroa, 78, Hartford, passed away on August 3, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Julio Figueroa. She was predeceased by her parents Camila and Demetrio Diaz and her son Orlando. She is survived by her children Carmen, Yolanda, Robert and Lucy; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, several sisters and brothers and her amazing long time friends, Mom/Grandma...the ROCK of our family! We hope we have made you proud. We promised you that we would always be there for you and that we did until the very end. We will carry you in our hearts forever. We love you...until we meet again, rest easy. Wela, I can't begin to express the emptiness I have in me. I find myself reaching for my phone as I get closer to the house to call you so that you can open the back door only to realize that you can't pick up. I find myself walking into your room to say goodnight, only to slapped with the reality that you aren't there anymore. I promised you that I would always make sure that mommy was Ok and I will never let you down. Please know that Kammie misses you so much Wela, all he does is pray for you.
Only GOD knows the pain I'm feeling!
Saying I miss you just doesn't seem enough. I pray that you are with Jugi and uncle Macho watching the Red Sox like it use to be.
Give Jugi and uncle Macho a hug and kiss for me... Bendicion Wela.

Wela, I can't begin to explain the emptiness I feel without you. I find myself walking into your room to say goodnight only to find an empty bed. What hurts more is reaching for the phone when I get close to home to call you and tell you to open the back door, only to get hit with the reality that you won't pick up. Everyone is hurting in their own ways, But this is truly the hardest thing I've faced in my life! I made you the promise to always make sure mommy was OK and I'll never let you down. Kammie misses you so much. He prays for you every night. Bendicion wela.

Our deepest condolences. What a wonderful, loving human being you had as a mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, etc. She was truly one-of-a-kind. May you be comforted by knowing that she was loved beyond words; she was valued for her wisdom; she was admired for her love of creating beautiful things and making holidays extra special; and she was appreciated for her unconditional love.
Our precious grandson, Kamren, adored her and rightly so. She was a phenomenal woman with a beautiful heart and smile. Thank you all for sharing her with us; it was a wonderful gift indeed.
Our prayers are with you all for strength and courage during this painful loss. May God continue to bestow His loving mercy upon you all.
