Rose D'Amato Obituary

Rose M. (Mozzicato) D'Amato, 79, of New Britain, died Tuesday, (July 22, 2003) at Brittany Farms Health Center, New Britain. Rose was born in New Britain and was the daughter of the late Santo and Concetta (Ucello) Mozzicato. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, New Britain. Rose was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Rose is survived by her beloved husband, Guerino J. D'Amato, Sr., of New Britain; her son, Guerino J. D'Amato, Jr. and his wife, Kathleen, of Bristol; her daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Keith Nappi of Collinsville; a sister, Tina Marzi of New Britain; five grandchildren, Rosanna, Bruce, Dana, Deanna and Gianna Rose; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral rites will be held Saturday, July 26, with the funeral procession departing at 9 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker/Farmingdale Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Avenue, New Britain. Followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. St Francis of Assisi Church, Stanley Street, New Britain. Committal service and final resting place will be in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker/Farmingdale Funeral Home, Friday from 5-8 p.m. Directions to funeral home: Take I-84 E or W-Exit 37 Fienemann Rd - Right off exit - Funeral home one mile down on right.
