I am so sorry for your loss and my prayers go out to you and your family. Mrs. Ewing was teacher to both my grown boys at Dutch Hill, and also my grandson. She meant so much to all of us. She did so much to make each one feel special. She was loved for that quality. She will always remain in our hearts and our happiest memories.

My son Joe Mantle who will graduate this year June 2015 had Mary Ewing as a teacher in 1st grade at Dutch Hill. Mary was a dedicated teacher and a friend to her students who were just Little Folks, new to all day school, many of them just 6 and in 1st grade. I worked with the staff at DH 2002-2005 as a Ed. Asst. mostly in the library or Nurses Station. Mary was a fine person and loved by all who entered her door. Always had kind words and a smile for her students and their family's. Sorry she was taken so young. Everyone who ever knew her will miss her smile and sense of humor, love of baseball and kids. Just know Ewing Family many will miss her because Mary touched many students and their Parents lives. RIP Mrs. Ewing

Bill,
You have my deepest sympathy on the death of Mary. I know how important she was in your life and will never forget the kindness that both of you showed me long ago in our early lives. Your relationship was quite special and while this makes the loss so very painful, I do believe that your closeness and warm memories will bring you comfort. Know that I am thinking of you and your family.

My daughter Kolbie was in Mrs. Ewing's 1st grade class this year. I would bring Kolbie in every morning and talk with Mrs. Ewing getting to know her a little better. Kolbie would always talk about her teacher with so much love. She misses her everyday. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family. She was a wonderful teacher and person.

I am so sorry, my heart aches for your family and loved ones. I remember staying the night over at the house and Mary had to deal with us running around crazy, playing sports all over the house. She was a beautiful and such a wonderful Mom.

I was in Mrs. Ewing's very first class she ever taught at Dutch Hill, 1st Grade. There are so many memories that stick with me even though so many years have passed. I'm in my 30's now and she'd still recognize me and remember my name when she'd see me. I can't even begin to imagine the loss everyone is feeling, she was such a caring and compassionate person.
