Sarah (Sally) Elizabeth Rogers, 76, passed into peace surrounded by family in Augusta, Georgia while she slept on August 3, 2015. Sally was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma on September 16th, 1938 to Paul and Sarabeth Evans. Sally moved from her childhood home in Texas to Calgary, Alberta, Canada. There, Sally met her beloved George, whom she married and together raised their four children. In 1967 the Rogers family relocated to Mississauga, Ontario where Sally and George were active members of the Mississaugua Golf and Country Club and St. Stephens on-the-Hill United Church. Sally was a Bridge Life Master, which she thoroughly enjoyed playing at the MG&CC, as well as tournaments nationally and internationally. Sally and George spent their later years wintering in Sarasota, Florida and cruising the globe. They had many dear friends in Mississauga, Ontario and Sarasota, Florida. Sally will be remembered for her love of life, her quick wit and incredible friendliness to all. Sally is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Betts and Ken Murdison (Augusta GA), Paula and Alan Carlton (London, England); son and daughter-in-law Bert and Heidi Rogers (Calgary AB) and son Scott Rogers (Hamilton ON), nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Augusta, Georgia at RMHCAugusta.org or 1442 Harper Street, Augusta GA 30901. A Memorial Service for both George and Sally will be held at St. Stephen's-on-the-Hill United Church in Mississauga, Ontario at 2:30 pm on September 6 2015 - their wedding anniversary.
