Nicholas Anthony Silva (April 14,1999-December 7, 2021) always chasing the dream in life, found his final destination at age 22. Though he left this world far too soon, our lives are brighter because of him. Nick was truly a light to all who knew him. He loved fiercely. He was known for his magnetic charisma, his enormous heart, his ability to make people laugh and his collection of faded blue jeans and t-shirts. Nick loved music and a good music fest. He was an unofficial spokesman for food and hot sauce... Although, everything was "THE BEST". It would be fair to say that Nick believed that to experience the good things in life, rules were meant to be suggestions. The angels that walked with him had a good sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by everyone except for the security guard at The Racquet Club of Memphis.
Nick was a master of "Nick"names as friend Richard coined it. If he tagged you; your nickname stuck. When asked, Nick's most remembered line..."just call Big E"
Nick did not have 1 Best friend; he had multiple best friends who have more "our buddy Nick" stories than one can count.
The memorial will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church in Memphis on Monday, December 20. Visitation 10:00am-11am. Funeral 11am. Reception to follow at Young Avenue Deli. Nick would want his memorial to be a fun celebration of his colorful life. He would feel that people wearing their favorite t-shirt and dark glasses would be appropriate. He would be wearing Red Hot Chili Peppers... his favorite band.
Some of his last words were on a walk and discussing the younger children's faith. Nick said, "When I denied my faith. I felt it. I knew it was wrong. Tell them." Knowing this, we can rejoice that he is resting in peace.
Christmas was his favorite holiday, so this seems the appropriate time of year that he would have chosen to go home to The Lord. Maybe, he is singing for the choir the Peanut's song "missmas mime is mere" or watching Elf for the 50,000th time.
Nicholas was born in Memphis, TN.
He attended Woodland Presbyterian School and graduated from The Bowie Center. Nick worked for his father at Sterling Building Specialists.
Nick is survived by his mother, Kimberly Davis "Fo", his father Anthony Silva, jr. "T" his step-mother, Mary McEniry "the MEANEST Mom", his siblings, Jacquelyn "Jac", Natalie "Nat", Jordan "Stan", Chandler "Annie", Isabella "Tinkerbell", Piper "Sugar", Devin "Cheerios", Loo "Cool-en", Barrett "Bossy", Olivia "LILO", Sophia "Fwend", Oakley "Diaper", his grandmothers Beverly Thompson
Patricia Silva as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews:
Sheree Silva , Antonio Saldana, Jeremy Silva, Heather Roark, Gabriela Saldana, Antonio Saldana, Jennifer Nicholas, Lee Nicholas, Alexis Nicholas, Thomas Silva Sr, Thomas Silva jr, Taylor Silva, Faith Silva, Easton Spilman, Wyatt Spilman, John Spilman. He is predeceased by his grandfather Anthony Silva.
The family would like to thank his wonderful caretakers and the teams of doctors, nurses and counselors for their kind and loving care and support.
