Patrick Sweeney Obituary

Cathal Patrick Sweeney
1923-2016
Patrick Sweeney, age 93, died peacefully December 18, 2016 in Houston. He was born in Larimore, North Dakota on May 10, 1923 and moved to Texas in the 1950s. He served as a Marine Corps officer in World War II and Korea and graduated with a degree in Political Science from Purdue University. He was owner of Central Utility Services and worked until his retirement at age 85. Carolyn Carter Sweeney, his wife, pre- deceased him. He is survived by his family, daughters and sons in law: M. Colleen Sweeney and the late Doug Miller, Peggy Sweeney and Nick Singleton, Anne and Chuck Profilet, Caroline Sweeney and Raul Sepulveda. Also, grandchildren: Gwen and Timothy Singleton, Madeline and Claire Profilet and Carter and Hagan Sepulveda. His ashes will be interred at Houston National Cemetery with military honors in the spring. Memorial donations in memory of Patrick may be made to Heifer International or Houston Public Media.
