Dee owned and operated Dee's Ceramics in Pocatello for 19 years. She first opened her shop on Main Street and later moved to the Westwood Mall. She taught many special techniques classes in Southern Idaho and Northern Utah and she won various top trophies at the Ceramic Association competitions. Dee also wrote a technique book called "The Look of Soft Sculpture" which sold 40,000 copies. The last 10 years that she ran her ceramics shop she made desserts to take to her night classes.
