Dale Chappell Obituary

Dale Eugene Chappell He was born January 13, 1946 in Indianapolis and passed away at the age of 61, on Monday, September 17, 2007. He was the son of the late Dallas Sanders and Claribell (Badger) Chappell. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Aaron "Dick", Russell and Ronald "Ronnie" Chappell; sisters, Vivian and Betty Jean Chappell, Irene Chappell-Turner, Margie Chappell-Turner and Pauline Chappell-Allee. He was honorably discharged from the Army National Guard Reserves, serving from January 16, 1964 to January 15, 1970 and was a 20 year member of the American Legion Wayne Post 64. Dale worked for Carquest Auto Parts as a delivery parts driver, retiring with 10 years of service. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Mary Kay Fischer-Chappell; his sons, Donald E. and Daryl L. Chappell; three step-children, Joni J. (companion Jeff) Crafton-Semich, Dale L. (Beth) Crafton and Tracy L. Lynch. Dale is also survived by his brothers, Jerry (Libby), Larry (Liz) and Paul (companion Wanda) Chappell; sisters, Wilma (Pete) Chappell-Partlow and Mary Jane "Janie" (Clyde) Chappell-Mayhew; sister-in-law, Evelyn; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Viewing will be from 11 to Noon Thursday, September 20 in Conkle Funeral Home Speedway Chapel, with graveside service at 12:30 p.m. Thurs. in Floral Park Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Central Hospices VNS Central Indiana or to the Indiana Cancer Society.
