Hal and I worked together at UE&C. After meeting, we found that we both had very similar work history and interests outside of work. We were both interested in trolley car history and models as well as high school sports history in Pennsylvania. He was a very nice person to know and I am glad that he and I were friends.

Hal was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. I had the privilege to work with him and travel with him throughout the U.S. We also went to several sporting events together. One of his many fine traits was his phenomenal memory. As an example, I was riding the commuter train once with a friend and Hal joined us. He asked where my friend grew up and he said Freeport, PA. Hal asked his high school and year of graduation and proceeded to name the starting lineup of the football team that year. My friends jaw is still on the floor of the train in awe! Hal was kind and gentle. Lynn was very ill for a long time and he cared for her until the end, now they are reunited. See you also on the other side Pal!
