It is with a heavy heart, that we announce the passing of our auntie, Elvira Escalera Rios. Who passed away on January 25, 2022, in Sierra Vista, Arizona, at the age of 93.
She was loving, caring, and did anything for those that she loved, especially her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed life to the fullest and made every moment a memory worth keeping. She enjoyed many things such as going shopping, word searches, reading her enquirers, going dancing, and traveling with her sister, (Pauline) and brothers, (Manuel and Jesus.)
My auntie was born and raised in Brawley, California, where she spent the rest of her adult life up until the age of 87, when she then moved to Arizona with her niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Perdo and Felisa Escalera; siblings, Manuel, Carmen, Rosario, Jesus, Sabrino, Jhonny Escalera and Pauline Salcido.
Funeral Services will take place in Brawley, CA. The viewing and rosary will be held at Frye Chapel on February 11, 2022, from 6-9 pm. Mass will occur at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church on February 12, 2022, at 10 am with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery.
May God bless our beloved auntie, may you rest in peace until we meet again. We love you Aunite forever and always. Always in our hearts.
