Robert Slinkard Obituary
TRUMANN - Robert Dale "Bob" Slinkard of Trumann departed this life Friday, May 6, 2022, at VA Medical Center in Memphis.
He was born in and a lifetime resident of Trumann. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, a lifelong farmer and of the Methodist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jeanette Slinkard, two sisters, a brother and his parents, Hiram S. and Esther Irene Metcalf Slinkard.
He is survived by one son, Damon (Tammie) Slinkard of Trumann; two grandchildren, Autumn Slinkard and Nelson Slinkard; two great-grandchildren, Sicily and Stella Mars; one brother, Howard (Karen) Slinkard of Rogers; and three sisters, Jerrie Sue (Dewayne) Qualls of Rockford, Ill., Judy Dunman of Lake City and Nancy (Donnie) England of Trumann.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at Thompson Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Alan McClung officiating.
Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Cliff Slinkard, Lance England, John Dunman, Coty Qualls, Danny Evans and Matthew England.
In compliance with COVID-19 guidelines, a mask or other facial covering is recommended.
