Jeff and Sue and kids...
Sorry to hear about your dad and grandpa. He was always such a nice man who enjoyed life. I can remember seeing him over the fence behind our garage. A lot of years have passed since that time. Our thoughts and prayers will be with all of you.
With much love,
Pink & Mike

UNCLE BOB (and AUNT CAROLYN)
I sent him postcards from our trips
and books of poems for his lips.
Fifty Fifty Valley Trail
is where he got my spotty mail.
He responded, asked for more
from waves rolling into shore,
He’d hoped time enough would bring
messages, tidbits, sprigs of spring.
His fascination with delight
kept him breathing through the night.
A handsome man, his eyes a glint,
he spoke a warmth, a precious mint.
So many years, behind his house,
he watched the light, the birds, the mouse.
He swam to keep his breath alive,
his driving will to survive
My mother’s sister was his wife,
she enthused for years about my life.
The two of them were part of me
I loved them both equally.
She left us first, and he grieved,
but carried on beyond her leave.
He kept in touch -- his letters sweet;
in time he made a soft retreat.
They’re gone from us but not from here,
their laughs and kindness persevere.
I hear their voices inside mine
I toast them now with glass of wine.
Much love and sympathy to you, Jeff and Susie, and all the rest of the family. Sally Yost (niece) and husband Michael
