Kenneth A. Kautzer

Kautzer, Kenneth A. Of Keller, TX, loving husband and proud father, departed for heaven on Friday, March 11, 2016. Visitation service was held Sunday, March 13, at the Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst, TX and a funeral mass was held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Keller, TX. Kenneth was born July 31, 1933, in St. Nazianz to Arthur and Emma (Krieglstein) Kautzer. He led a full life, graduating from Marquette High School and soon after proudly serving his country in the 29th Infantry of the U.S. Army. A hard working graduate of UW Milwaukee, he devoted his successful career to lead in various financial management and executive capacities for hospitals of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth and Daughters of Charity including St. Mary's Hospital Milwaukee, roles of increasing responsibility at hospitals in Texas, and later as CFO and senior vice president of finance of St. Mary's Hospital in Chicago. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Marilyn; his loving children John (Brenda), Jeff (Dawn), Karen (Terry) Whistler and Bryan; grandchildren Kimberlee (Sean) Higgins, Ryan (Katie); Robert (Allie), Randall and Angela Whistler, Jeremy Powell and great-granddaughter Astrid Higgins. He is also survived by sister, Donna Lass, and numerous family and friends in Wisconsin and Texas. The family requests memorials to the American Heart Association in his honor.
