Cleola Croney Obituary

CRONEY, Cleola Lee "Shang", departed this life Wed., Sept. 14, 2005. A Christian County native, born Nov. 6, 1927, to the union of the late Eddie N. and Alcye B. Garnett Ferguson. She was preceded in death by her sister, Camille Johnson. Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Carolyn (Michael) Moore; three sons, Paul D. (Ren'e'e) Croney, Fred D. Croney Jr. and Mario Smoot; eight grandchildren, Sherry (Don) Fishback, Shirley Byrd, Cheyenne, Fred III, Luron, Stephanie and Bridgette Croney and Diona Smoot; five great-grandchildren, Don, DeJuan and Demarcus Fishback, Tekia and Jonica Byrd and other relatives. Services are 1 pm Mon. at Smith & Smith Funeral Home. Visitation is 11 am Mon. until time of service. Guestbook at Legacy.com

Even though I had known Mrs. Croney for only 5 years I found her to always be in good spirits for a person in her condition. Mrs. Croney was a very regal woman. I will greatly miss seeing her face and her warm smile. She is deeply missed
