Donald Lee Turley

August 15, 1946 - February 3, 2024

Lexington, Kentucky - Donald Lee Turley was born on August 15, 1946, in Lexington, Kentucky. He was the son of the late John Lockhart Turley and Odessa Douthitt Turley. He was called home by his Heavenly Father on February 3, 2024, at the age of 77. Donald loved His Lord & Savoir and was a member of Consolidated Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky.

Donald graduated from Bryan Station High School in Lexington, Kentucky.

Donald enjoyed farming, fishing, bowling, and yard work. He was a loving family man who went out of his way to serve his family & friends in many ways-big and small. Donald was a man of principle and value. Though he often had a quiet demeanor, his fierce love & kind spirit rang loud.

Preceding him in death are his siblings: John C. Turley, Ethel Holand, Jack Turley, and Roberta Turley Wright.

He is survived by his wife, Lucy, with whom he enjoyed 28 years of marriage. He is also survived by his sister, Jean Beatty.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a son: Randy (Tamara) Turley of Lexington, KY, and daughters Lisa Baker of Lexington, KY, and Melanie (Oreese) Chenault of Lexington, KY. Also cherishing his memory are 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Visitation will be held from 11-1pm Friday, February 9, 2024, at Consolidated Baptist Church. Services will begin at 1pm at Consolidated Baptist Church, followed by burial at the Lexington Cemetery.
