For the first 12 years of my life I was related to Bill Woo by marriage. I spent many a weekend, holiday, summer vacation and even a 2 week camping trip, sans parents, with the Woos! I wouldn´t trade those memories for anything. Uncle Bill was one of about 10 positive adult male role models in my life during those formative years. I never saw him angry. He was a good and kind man that cared for his family. I didn´t know he had been ill, but as callous as it sounds, I´m glad the last time I saw him was well over 30 years ago. In my mind´s eye he´s still a beaming giant among the Redwoods in a seemingly endless number of campsites he gladly prepared for us before S´mores and laughs by the fire. For those that endured the illness with him, fear not...he´s home now, lucid and loving his new life.

Bill was my father's closest friend when I was a child. I recall many weekend afternoons playing with Lesley and Amy at the Woo home in Long Beach. I will always remember Bill as a warm, gentle, and kind soul. Condolences to Bill's loved ones for enduring the cruelty that is Alzheimer's disease. May peace be nigh now Bill is no longer suffering.

I did not know Bill, but I witnessed his legacy in his daughter Amy and his granddaughters Emily and Ella. Amy is a wonderful wife and mother, a loyal friend and a hard worker. I have no doubt she got many of her great qualities from her Dad. I also appreciate Bill's sacrifice as a veteran. May Bill live on in his daughters and grandchildren's lives. Sending peace to all his loved ones.
