To the family of dear Amy:
Amy was one of the sweetest children I ever had the privilege of babysitting in Ruston. Not only did I feed her, rock her, play with her and her brothers, but got to watch her grow up at First Baptist Church when I returned for visits. My mother taught her algebra in high school and remembers her fondly. Thanks to the example of her parents, she became the wonderful wife and mother she did. Heaven received a special angel when Amy arrived.

Amy, sweet friend, I, like the others, remember your smile, your kindness and also your honesty. I don't remember when we last saw each other, but it didn't matter. We maintained an occasional electronic thread that kept us close. Your legacy is one of strength, compassion and joy. I will miss you, but now with Jesus you are better than you've ever been. It is well with my soul.
Mr. & Mrs. Pinkston, Darren, Wynn, Josh, nieces and nephews, cousins and all other family and friends who loved Amy, I am in prayer for your rest, your peace and a joy that transcends all understanding.

To Amy's husband, mom, dad, family and dear friends and relatives,
I'm so sorry to learn of Amy's passing. She and I were Kappa pledge sisters at LSU and even though we lost touch, I certainly look back on the short time I knew her with great fondess. She had such a sweet and loving disposition and a really great smile. I had heard about her illness just a few months ago and had been praying for her and thinking about her so much. Without knowing she had passed away, something nudged at me to reach out to our mutual friend to find out how Amy was doing, as it had been a couple months. Some call it a coincidence, but I'd like to think that it was God telling me that Amy was right there in His presence already. It wasn't until later that evening that our mutual friend and subsequently I found out Amy went to Heaven just that very morning. She is, indeed, happy, full of eternal peace and joy with God.
My heart is with you all as you remember and celebrate her life. May your sadness turn to joy knowing she is resting in the peace of Christ.

Dear Pinkston and Odom families,
My sincere thoughts and prayers are with you. I know that Amy wanted us to celebrate her life and cherish our memories with her. For me, the memories are countless. She was a part of every phase of my life - from the time I flew on an airplane for the first time and colored on the walls at their home in Montana, to visiting in Cape Canaveral and seeing the Atlantic Ocean for the first time, to graduating high school, college, and then pursuing a Master's degree and beginning a career in PR (a path first inspired by Amy), and not to mention all of the LSU games! I grew up with Amy a part of my life, and while it is incredibly hard to let her go, the memory of her beautiful smile, wonderful laugh and full and giving heart will be with me forever. I can't imagine the pain you are experiencing, but I hope there is some comfort in knowing how many lives Amy touched in her short time, and how very well loved she was. She will be missed indeed.
With all my love,
Lea Anna Cardwell
