Angelo L. Rivera

Angelo L. Rivera, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Michelle Rivera, his daughter, Arianna Rivera Lee (Daniel), Granddaughter, Ruth Lee (Due February 2022), Brother, Jose "Tony" Rivera (Mary), Niece and nephew, Melissa and Tony Rivera Jr. (Claudia). Preceded in death by his parents, Isabel and Andres Rivera, Teresa Salazar, Late brother, Andres Rivera Jr. Angelo was an employee at the Port of New Orleans for over 40 years prior to his retirement in 2019. He loved interacting with people at work and the relationships he created with coworkers who became lifelong friends. A native of San Juan Puerto Rico, Angelo had also lived in Canada, New Mexico, and New York prior residing in the New Orleans area. Angelo enjoyed working tirelessly in his backyard, reading, and lending a helping hand whenever he could. A loving father, husband, friend, colleague, and soon-to-be grandfather, Angelo will be remembered dearly. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, December 23, 2021. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with a service starting at 12:00 pm followed by interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4900 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA 70001.
