Laurel Hill—Anita "Anne" Gibson Tindall, age 78 of Laurel Hill passed away surrounded by her family at home just one day shy of her birthday on December 23, 2018.
The Remembrance of the Earthly Life of Anne Tindall will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2018 at St. John United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery.
Anne was born December 24, 1939 in Marlboro County, South Carolina to the late Willie H. and Lucille Newton Gibson. She retired after many years of service as an Administrator with Scotland County Government. She served as a faithful longtime member of the St. John United Methodist Church. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, music, studying genealogy, spending time at the beach and was proud to be one of the organizers for the St. John Welcome Table. Anne's greatest joy was spending time with her precious family.
She is survived by her husband, Carl O. Tindall of the home; son, Jeffery Tindall (Jane) of Laurinburg and daughters, Stephanie Norris of Laurel Hill, Becky Mordarski (Dan), Jennifer Caviness (Doug) all of Fayetteville; a brother, Willie P. Gibson (Judy) of Waxhaw; many nieces, nephews and the joys of her life, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
In lieu of flowers, Anne requested for memorial donations to be given to St. John United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 181, Gibson, NC 28343 or Scotland Regional Hospice, P.O. Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 28353.
