Blanche ROTHEL Obituary

September 2, 2016 – Calgary, Alberta
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother Blanche Rothel (nee Hoffert) on Friday, September 2, 2016 at the age of 79 with her children and caregiver by her side. Blanche was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on October 16, 1936. She loved Bingo, going to the casino, doing puzzles, reading, knitting and crocheting. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her children, Melody, Mike (Mary) and Tanya (Gerry); as well as her grandchildren, Lindsay (Brant), Melissa, Cody (Maddy) and Tyler, as well as three sisters. A Celebration of Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In living memory of Blanche Rothel, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.

Blanche was such a wonderful neighbor lady that I had the opportunity to babysit for, when I was younger. She will be so sadly missed, around Henefer Road. My sympathies go out to the entire Rothel family, and I am so very sorry for your great loss. Take care, Brenda Friedl (Sikora)

I am so sorry to hear that you mom has passed away. Please accept my deepest condolences. It's always so difficult to lose our parents but she is only gone for now and you will see her again in heaven someday. You are all in my prayers.
