Brian Reiter Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Nov. 9 to Nov. 10, 2022.
Brian Monroe Reiter was born on March 26th, 1973 to Robert Monroe Reiter and Neta Hazel Bradford in Olympia, WA. He spent his younger years living in Boston Harbor playing at the marina, participating in baseball, cub scouts, hunting, wrestling and football. He grew up with three siblings; sister Tracee, brother Sean and younger brother Bradley. Brian attended Olympia High School and went on to High Tech Institute in Phoenix, Arizona.

High Tech Institute is where he discovered his love for computers and technology. He started work at Northwest Technical Products in Gig Harbor and went on to his 27 year career with Right! Systems INC. Here he found a second family. Not many people can say they found not only a job but a work family that made every day enjoyable. He was always excited to be learning something new and to be creating lifelong relationships with both coworkers and customers. Some of his best friendships were formed here.

Brian married the love of his life, Kimberly Knittle in March of 1997. They went on to have two children, Karli Brianne Reiter and Kaden Monroe Reiter. There was nothing more important to Brian than his family. Brian was a devoted husband and father who was always present, whether as an active coach for TCYFL Football, a supportive Dad on the soccer sidelines or amongst the field trip parents. As a family they enjoyed numerous camping trips, vacations and spending quality time together. This included being a host Dad to three foreign exchange students; Jonas, Peggy and Thibault.

Brian took a lot of pride in losing 140 pounds on the keto diet. He loved sharing his journey, success and encouraging others through how he lived his life.

In his free time, Brian enjoyed photography, shooting, off-roading, and volunteering with Thurston County Jeep Patrol where he was elected Captain. Most recently, he found his love for motorcycle riding. This became a way to stay connected to his family but also for him to become a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association, introducing him to Sturgis Aid. He served ten days in Sturgis, South Dakota as a volunteer this past August assisting those in need. He enjoyed this more than anything and in such a short time made life-long friendships.

All those who knew Brian know his love of faith, family, friends and community. Brian was always there when you needed him, no matter the circumstance.

Brian passed away on October 27th, 2022 of a sudden heart attack. He will be greatly missed by family, friends and all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to one of the organizations for which Brian served:

I enjoyed working with Brian. He was always so level-headed and professional. You could tell he was a Christian by his actions and interactions with co-workers. I worked with him when your kids were little, and you could tell they brought him so much joy and he was so proud of them. He also took our wedding pictures which I treasure. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
