Buddy Sims Obituary
Macon, GA- Buddy Sims, 80, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at his residence after a brief illness and surrounded by his devoted family. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Father David Koetter will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m., with Prayer Service at 6 p.m. on Sunday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono. Buddy would ask that you dress comfortably and cool in this heat.

I worked with Buddy at B&W and I would see him around town recycling metals and such to help the homeless and poor in his adopted hometown.I'm sure the many he helped and those of us who knew him considered him a saint. Praying for the family. The world has lost a good man.

We will always remember Buddy as one of our very special music friends. When we first started to go to the jam sessions at Young America Music Schools, Buddy was always there with words of encouragement. He had a passion for music and always brought a smile to our faces. To my dad, you always loved and protected mom until your health got bad. You still blew kisses at her and told her she was your best friend. She will be loved and protected as well and no one will take advantage of her kindness. No one will disrespect your home or your memory. We are grieving your loss. I am mourning for my dad wishing I had One more Day to tell you that I love you. I know your not in Pain. I know God has you. He let me know in his way by little miracles he has shown.
