C. Gillespie Obituary
C. Inez Gillespie, 84, of Catasauqua, died Friday, July 1, 2011, at her home. Born June 26, 1927 in Broken Arrow, OK, she was the daughter of the late John and Clara (Moore) Johnston. She and her husband Herbert Washington Gillespie were married February 6, 1946. She was a coowner, with her husband, of Gillespie Jewelers, Northampton for over 56 years. Inez was a member, for over 64 years, of St. Pauls United Church of Christ, Northampton, where she was a former chairperson of the Prayer Chain, served over eight years on the Consistory and served as a leader of Bible Study Fellowship for twelve years. She felt blessed that she was born into a Christian family. Survivors: Along with her husband she is survived by daughter, Gyda wife of Timothy G. Molchany of Catasauqua, PA, daughter, G. Gayle wife of Dr. Paul Church of Boston, MA, son, Gil and wife Hollie Gillespie of Nazareth, PA; grandson, Ty and wife Lauren Molchany, grandson, Jonathon Molchany, granddaughter, Melissa wife of Manny Figueroa, granddaughter, Tracey wife of Philip deCastro; five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by: son, Dr. Gary Gillespie; brother, John E. Johnston. Services: A Memorial service will be held Saturday July 9, 201110 a.m. at St. Pauls U.C.C. Church, 19th & Lincoln Sts., Northampton, PA. 18067. Contributions: Memorial contributions may be made to the church or the American Diabetes Assoc., both in care of the Schisler Funeral Home, Inc., 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067.
