Dr Lo. You are gone from this life, but definitely not forgotten. So happy to have worked with you for the years of your ophthalmology practice in Tampa. You taught me the true meaning of patient care in your unselfish devotion to your patients.

It has been so long I don't know if the family will read this, but I wanted them to know how much I admired him. I worked with him as an ophthalmic technician at the Eye Center of Saint Augustine. I was thinking of him today and wondered how and where he was. I Googled his name and was shocked to learn of his passing. I admired his care and concern and compassion for every patient he saw and his knowledge and skills were unequalled. I was very sorry to see him leave Saint Augustine but it looks like things turned out for the best for him.
My sincerest condolences to his family.
God bless you, Chris.

He was an amazing doctor. I suffered from recurrent corneal abrasions and he cured me. He was extremely competent and kind. I just found out this morning that he had passed away. I am sorry for his patients and his family.

After suffering through 48 eye cancer surgeries, Dr. LoPresto came highly recommended, I could not have asked for a better Doctor who knew his stuff and got me on the road to recovery. Kind, patient and humble are just a few of his many assets. Dr. LoPresto was a rare gem indeed and he will always have a special place in my heart that will remain forever. He will be missed by many. I feel truly blessed to have known him.
My heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends.

Dr. LoPresto was my ophthalmologist for many years and the only eye specialist I've found in the Tampa Bay area that I could really trust. I was sad after receiving a letter he was closing his practice and hoped he was okay. Very saddened now and shocked to see he has passed away. After reading what others have written here, I see even more what a rare gem he truly was. My deepest condolences go out to his family and close friends.

We just found out today that he passed away. We are in shock and so very very sad. He was an amazing doctor and person inside and out. What a kindhearted person. He was my doctor for several years and at my last visit in July 2016 he told me he was moving back to Atlanta. I was surprised and now I know why. He will always be in our hearts as we already missed having him as my doctor. To his family, we are truly blessed to have known him. Words can not express what an amazing human being he was, especially in our time of medical need. He saw me for 2 years knowing we didn't have medical insurance to pay him. And when we finally got Medicare he said that it didn't matter if we had insurance or not because he would never let anyone suffer potential blindness because of no insurance. He is truly missed. His love for photography was amazing. Loved seeing the beautiful pictures he took.

Dr. LoPresto was one of the most kinds physicians I've ever worked with. I worked with Dr. LoPresto for years and lost connection with him once I moved out of state. I recently just found out this news visiting an old employer. You will be truly missed and it was a pleasure to work with and getting to know you. Rest in Peace.

Dr. Lopresto was my doctor and my mom's as well. He always treated my 95 year old mom with such respect and kindness. He had a picture hanging on his wall in his office that I loved and everytime I went in for an exam I told him I LOVED THAT PICTURE. He took the photo,,, it was of FLA Aligators!!! One day he took the picture off the wall and gave it to me!! I have it hanging behind my door in my guest bedroom. I was very sad to hear about his passing. I just heard today, July 20... when I finally found a Dr. to go to in place of Chris. The Dr. told me Dr. Lopresto passed away! I was in shock! No one could take his place!!! What sad news I received today!! I knew he sold his practice but I thought he was just moving back home? In any event, I hope his family can read this post.... Dr. Lopresto will be missed by many. God Bless your family...

To The family:
Dr. Lopresto was my ophthalmologist in Tampa. I just found out this morning that he passed away in February. I am so sad to hear that news. He was such a nice man. So unpretentious and easy to talk to. I loved talking to him about traveling. I will always have fond memories of him and feel sadness knowing that we lost him much too soon. My condolences to his family.

Dr. LoPresto was a brilliant physician. But most of all, he was a kind, patient, wonderful human being. I cannot believe he is gone. What a great man he was.

Dr. LoPresto was a very conscientious physician who was of great help to my mother and to my wife. In both cases, an ophthalmologist misdiagnosed my mother and than later my wife. I brought each of them separately to Dr. Lopresto for a second opinion. In both cases he disputed the prior opinions and in both cases he turned out to be correct as measured by subsequent developments. He was extremely bright and thorough. He was down to earth and unpretentious. He was a great man.

To all the LoPresto family,
I had the true pleasure of working with Dr. Lo at his Tampa practice. His dedication to patient care and the integrity he showed daily greatly impacted all of us who had the pleasure to call him our "boss". Never an unkind word, he made it a joy to be around him. I am heartbroken to hear of his passing and send my sincere condolences.

Chris was my junior resident at the VA when we rotated there. We worked side-by-side for six months and I loved every minute of it. He was a talented surgeon, a tireless worker and a strong patient advocate. Erik Skoog's story is true; Chris did take emergency call while passing a kidney stone. I'm embarrassed that we didn't keep in touch. The world needs more people like Chris, not fewer.

It has been an honor to call Chris a close friend since 1996, when we met in residency training. Chris should be remembered for his extraordinary dedication, tenacity and work ethic, truly admirable qualities that led him to achievements that few have known. He was so determined that he once worked through a day on call while passing a kidney stone. Most of all he was dedicated to doing things the right way. He never cut corners. I often talked to him about his practice and was staggered by the complexity of the issues he was managing in his patients and often looked to him for advice.
The Holy Spirit shined in him. I will cherish the memories of our time spent together. My sincere condolences to the Lopresto family. You have a son that will sorely be missed by so many and whose positive impact was felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
