Read, Cindy SARASOTA, Fla. Cindy Allen LaMora Read, 68, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022. Cindy was the daughter of the late Marvin and Madeline Allen. Cindy leaves behind her husband of 12 years, Walter C. Read III; and her four children, Stephen (Jamie) LaMora of Troy, Beth (Stephen) LaMora of Idaho, Andrew LaMora (Janet Knapp) of Schenectady and Brian (Amy) LaMora of New Hampshire. She also leaves behind her six grandchildren, Haley (Evan) Crook of Oregon, Keirsten, Clarissa, Cami, Alex and Oliver LaMora; along with her cat, Gracie. Cindy also has a loving sister, Deborah Northrup of Ramsey, N.J. and many nephews and nieces whom she loved dearly. Cindy was a registered nurse; she loved to read and was talented at many crafts, but was well-noted for her detailed murals. She loved cats more than people most days. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 26, from 4 to 7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Cindy would want donations made to your favorite animal rescue, the American Diabetes Association or MindUP.org to help children learn how to take care of their mental fitness.
