van Zelst Derrick Gerrard February 23rd 2008 suddenly, as he would have wished, in Harrogate District Hospital aged 74 years of Knaresborough, Derrick, much loved father of Sharon, Patrick and Robin, loving grandfather of Edward, Joseph, Daniel and Robyn, dear brother of Phillip and the late John, also dear father in law of Kathryn and Sandra. The family would like to invite all friends, past and present to join them to celebrate the life of the 'bald headed raconteur' at St John's Parish Church, Knaresborough on Friday March 7th at 1.30pm, followed by private cremation. All flowers welcome, please contact Floral Decor, Knaresborough Tel 01423 863466. After the service all are welcome at the Old Royal Oak, Knaresborough. From 8pm that evening all are invited to celebrate Derrick's love of music again at the Old Royal Oak. All musicians to bring their instruments, Harmonicas and Tamborines not welcome!-: 'So be easy and free when you're drinking with me. I'm a man you don't meet every day'
