Elaine E O'Connor

It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Elaine Elizabeth O'Connor (nee Clinton) on Tuesday January 3, 2023 at the age of 69. She is predeceased by her husband Daryl John Bergie and her loving son Steven Daniel O'Connor, who both passed away in 2022. She is predeceased by her parents Thomas and Margaret Clinton. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Karen Moore (Jason), her grandchildren Olivia, Ava, Sara, Emily and Maggie. She will be fondly remembered by her siblings Jeanette Howard (Eddy), Michael Clinton (Melanie), Margaret Callaghan (Tim), many nieces, nephews and her beloved dog Jack.
Elaine was an extremely strong person who faced many challenges and showed us all how to keep going no matter the obstacle. As an adult, she earned her high school diploma and then went on to Mohawk College where she graduated with Honours to become a Social Service Worker. She enjoyed her job working for the Children's Aid Society of Hamilton where she was well respected by her peers. Elaine was a great listener who always showed compassion for others, gave her honest opinion and enjoyed making a difference in people's lives.
Elaine loved spending time with her family and had an amazing smile that could light up any room.
She was a beautiful soul that will live forever in our hearts and memories.
As per Elaine's wishes, cremation has taken place and the family will have a Celebration of Life for her at a later date.
