Nonna, as she was affectionately known, was both my grandmother and hero. She spent her entire life serving others and making them feel special. Nonna would graciously welcome you into her home - and force you to sit down and eat. Not that her cooking was hard to swallow; she made the most wonderful polenta, gnochies, and roast beef dinners.
Nonna was always there for her grandchildren's birthdays, special events and holidays, never forgetting to send a birthday card. Nonna was the perfect example of how we should lead our lives and I'm sure she's in heaven now...sitting with Nonno, talking his ears off...God bless her!

What a blessing you were to me. I will always cherish the fact that you treated me like your own granddaughter. I will remember the many wonderful conversations we had and how honored I was to be able to spend time in your presence. Heaven is truly receiving an angel!
