We are saddened with the passing away of our mother, grandmother and GG who has gone to her heavenly home on July 27, 2015. Elsie was predeceased by her husband Fred Powers in 2009 and son Richard in 1977. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Oral (Marla) Powers, daughter Shirlee (Perry) Bank; her four grandchildren who were the light of her life: Jason (Kayla) Bank, Rochelle (Jean-Michel) Longval, Cheryl and Isabella Powers and great grandchildren Grace and Sebastian Bank. Strong and independent, Elsie put her faith in God to see her through life's tragedies and miracles. A woman of integrity, Elsie loved and ministered to her family, grandchildren, neighborhood children and friends. She enjoyed her final years at Wentworth Court, and her sense of humour lifted our spirits to the end.
