Hilda FISHER Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jan. 25 to Feb. 1, 2019.
FISHER, Hilda Amelia January 23, 1932 - January 25, 2019 Hilda finally found the peace she so richly deserved after slowly slipping through our fingers over the past several years. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Robert Fisher, who predeceased her in 2013. Hilda was also predeceased by her loving parents and siblings. Hilda is survived by her daughters, Christine Fisher and her husband Richard Ernst, Jane Weber and her husband David Weber and Lisa Fisher. She was the best mom anyone could ever wish for. She gave us her heart and soul, always putting our needs ahead of her own. Hilda was a devoted and loving Nanny and Nanny-Great. Her grandchildren meant the world to her and although her memory didn't allow her to fully recall her great-grandchildren she always broke into a beautiful smile when she saw them or when any one of us spoke of them. She extended kindness and a smile to everyone she met. Even as her dementia slowly advanced, she never lost the gifts of grace and gratitude. Hilda touched the lives of many people in her lifetime. She will live on in everyone who loved her. Special thanks to her private companions, Cristina and Raquel, who offered her moments of joy and comfort throughout the past years. You were her earthly angels. Hilda's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 12:30 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener. A memorial service honouring Hilda's life will be held in the chapel at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Mark Ehlebracht officiating. There will not be a reception following the service. Private interment will occur at Parkview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Wellington or Dying with Dignity Canada would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
