Leavitt, James Patrick, III age 57, of Shakopee. Graduated from Shakopee Senior High 1972 and Oklahoma City University Law school. A man of deep thought, inquisitive mind & multiple interests. His family & friends will miss his presence & sense of humor. Survived by brothers and sisters, Marguerite, Kevin, Andre and husband, Paul, twins Shannon, Sean and wife, Carol; nieces, Monique and McKinley; nephews, Connor and Shannon Alexander. Preceded in death by parents, Jermayn and James Patrick Leavitt, Jr. Family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 4-6 PM, followed by a Memorial Mass at 6 PM, all at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 535 Lewis St., Shakopee. Jim suffered from frontotemporal dementia. Donations to Alzheimer's Assoc. McNearney Funeral Home 952-445-2755 www.mcnearneyfuneralhome.com

James was such a unique special person. I enjoyed my visits with him when I worked with him because of his unique sense of humor and this interests. I will miss him dearly.
