James Robert Sutton

November 20, 1983 - November 18, 2024

With great sadness and love, we announce the passing of James Robert Sutton, lovingly known as Jimmy, on November 18, 2024. He passed away at the University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas, just two days shy of his 41st birthday.

Jimmy was born on November 20, 1983, in West Palm Beach, Florida, to Jim and Jacquelyn Sutton. From a young age, Jimmy was full of energy, kindness, and a zest for life that touched everyone he met. He attended Highland Elementary School, Sacred Heart Catholic School, Lake Worth Middle School, and John I. Leonard High School. He pursued his education at the University of Central Florida and Palm Beach State College, driven by a lifelong curiosity and love of learning.

In 2018, Jimmy embarked on a new adventure, moving with his life partner, Nicole Krasna, from Florida to New Mexico to build a life together. The couple welcomed their greatest joy, Maxwell Tripp, on March 29, 2019. As a father, Jimmy was unparalleled. His love for Max knew no bounds, and he poured his heart into every moment they spent together. Whether coaching Max through life's lessons or sharing laughter over bedtime stories, Jimmy's devotion to his son will forever remain a testament to the extraordinary man he was.

Jimmy's talents in the kitchen were legendary among his family and friends. Sundays were his sacred time to prepare meals with love and care for the week ahead, filling his home with delicious aromas and warm memories. Outside the kitchen, his passion for college football burned bright - he was a devoted Miami Hurricanes fan, and every game day was an event. "Go U!" was his rallying cry.

Jimmy was a kind soul with a magnetic personality that brought people together. His heart was big enough for everyone, and he left an indelible mark on those lucky enough to know him.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harold and Tere Claiborne, and his paternal grandmother, Marianne Chambers. Jimmy leaves behind his life partner, Nicole Krasna; their beloved son, Maxwell Tripp; his parents, Jim and Jacquelyn Sutton; Nicole's mother, Erika Krasna; and a large, loving extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will cherish his memory forever.

The Sutton and Krasna families wish to express their deepest gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas, for the compassionate care they provided to Jimmy in his final days.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Florida in May 2025, when Nicole, Maxwell, and Erika visit. The time and date will be shared on Facebook.

James's light may have left this world, but his love, laughter, and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Rest in peace, dear James. You will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
