Jeremiah James Wayne Ferguson passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 in Durant at the age of 18 days old. Jeremiah was born on February 10, 2015 to Ashley Mauldin-McLeod and Gabriel Ferguson. He loved to be cradled, and was always wanting to play while having a big smile on his face while he was being held by his grandmother.
He is preceded in death by his great-grandmother Maydell Mays; great-grandfather Charles Edward Mauldin; great-great grandfather David McLeod; and great-great grandmother Francis McCalip.
Jeremiah is survived by his mother and father of Durant; grandparents, Angella McLeod and Derrick Swanegan of Durant; James McLeod, Durant; Eugenia Mays, Dallas; Steven Ferguson, Dallas; great-grandparents, Dorothy Finnell and husband Mike, Grand Prairie, TX; Lillie McLeod, Durant; and great-grandfather James Wooten of Pleasant Grove, TX; aunts, Ashley; Tabitha; Breeanna; Melaina; and Jocylen; great-aunts Bobbie Wooten; Cristal Coffer; Sarah Rogers; Katie Hargrove; Carol Middleton; May Lene Roden; uncles, Christopher Carroll; Kaden; Dustin; Brayden; Collin; Clay; great-uncles, John Mauldin; Eddie Mauldin; Allen Middleton; Horace Middleton; Roy Roden; godfather, Elondrea; and godmother Angela Dailey.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Roy Roden, Dustin Carnell, James McLeod, and Derrick Swanegan serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service, Durant.
