John Dalton Obituary

SELINSGROVE - John J. Dalton, 79, of 29 Grayson View Court, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2009, from his battle with cancer at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on Sept. 24, 1929, in Rockaway, N.J., a son of the late John I. and Nellie (Doran) Dalton.
Mr. Dalton was a graduate of Danville High School and Bucknell University with a degree in electrical engineering.
He proudly served in the Navy.
John worked for IBM out of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
He is survived by a son, John Dalton, of Neavitt, Md.; two daughters, Colleen Fuller, of Apex, N.C., and Kathleen and her husband John Gold, of Danville; four grandchildren, Ryan Fuller, Patrick Fuller, Matthew Blue and Kathryn Blue; two stepgrandchildren, Ryan Gold and Brianna Gold; a great-grandson, Pierce Fuller; four sisters, Nell and her husband Richard Divel and Irene and her husband Gabriel Moschetti, all of Rockville, Md., Ruth Dalton, of Danville, and Joan and her husband, Jay B. Decker, of Cogan Station; five nieces; and three nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Dalton, in 1936, and a nephew, Michael Divel, in 1992.
John will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. Thursday at the Brady Funeral Home, 320 Church St., Danville, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at noon at St. Joseph Church, 18 E. Center St., Danville, with the Rev. Michael Laicha officiating.
Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

John,
I miss you already, my friend! I will always remember making your 3 eggs and english muffin for breakfast, even though you were watching your "girlish figure"! Thank you so much for all the times you have made me laugh! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!

You will be greatly missed at Graysonview.You have left me with so many great memories. I always looked forward to seeing you each and every day for you always would bring a smile to my face with your fun sense of humor.To the family.. Know that John is comfortably resting now and no longer must he battle with sickness and will remain in God"s eternal peace.I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to know John and call him my friend. God Bless.
