John FRASER Obituary

Published by Edmonton Journal from Apr. 29 to Apr. 30, 2014.
FRASER, John (Jack) Lindsay
On April 18, 2014, Jack Fraser passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 90 years. Jack was born on January 2, 1924 to Lindsay and Emma Fraser.
Jack is survived by his son, Richard (Catherine); grandchildren, Andrea and Jonathan; sister, Stella; nieces and nephews, Janet Hamilton, Chuck Watson, Marlene Westphal, Carol Sparling, Fraser Gibbons, Tom Gibbons, Cindy Fraser, Monica Kennedy, Scott Fraser and Cameron Fraser. He will also be missed by the extended Elias family, Mike Elias and Pat Curtis; John and Brenda Elias; Dr. Cindy Elias; and very dear friends, Jean and Norman Senn of Calgary. Jack was predeceased by his loving wife and companion of over 55 years, Lois; and siblings, Keith and Nick.
After a successful career at Federated Co- operatives Ltd., Jack retired early at 55 and he and Lois traveled the world, especially to Sweden, where they enjoyed tracing Lois's family roots. Jack spent his last three years, very happy ones, at Touchmark at Wedgewood Continuing Care Centre, close to Richard and Catherine. He enjoyed many family dinners at the home of Anne Elias, and later, at the home of John and Brenda Elias.
The family is grateful to Onnie, Shelly, Bernie, Fatuma, Maureen, Carol and all the other caregivers and staff at Touchmark at Wedgewood, who made his final years so joyful.
A Celebration of Jack's Life will be held Thursday, May 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Touchmark at Wedgewood Continuing Care Centre, 18333 Lessard Road, Edmonton. A private interment will take place in Bon Accord Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 9618 - 101A Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5H 0C7, the Caritas Hospitals Foundation, 3C60, 11111 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5K 0L4 or a charity of your choice.

My condolences to the family. My oldest brother Bernie & Jack went to school together in Gibbons & Bernie told me lot of stories about their shenanigans. They then meet later in Calgary & remained good friends until Bernie died. God Bless.
