I met Julia as a newborn, the precious youngest child of close friends. Thinking of her brings to mind bright sunshine, smiles, love, and kindness. As she grew through childhood and her teen years into young adulthood, it was clear that not only was she academically gifted, she had compassion for people, animals, and the planet and was doing all she could to care for and protect them.

Starting in high school, Julia and her sister Emily did house and dog sitting for me when I traveled. In more recent years, Julia and her partner Ian took on that responsibility. It was always a joy to discuss a variety of topics with her, ranging from philosophy to politics to the enviornment, and beyond. She was very observant and wise beyond her years, a spritual old soul.

Julia has a wide circle of family and friends and she touched many lives with her bright light and positivity. She will be profoundly missed but lives on through all of us--her family and friends.

Christmas 2022 I was so broke and in need of move out of the apartment that I had. I remember how much she supported me and how many times she´s said everything will be okay Karen. I just miss her so much. Last year when I was going through my depression I had so many episodes of panic attacks at work and she was the one who catches before me. She saw many times my desperation and anxious behavior when I was sick. She was always kind, loving and helpful. We´re looking forward this year for doing some gardening together I´m sorry you guys are going through this.
