Kyle Ryan Scholes

Kyle Ryan Scholes, 29, of Portland, Maine, passed away on August 11, 2024, in Auburn, Maine. Born on September 19, 1994, in Portland, Kyle was known for his kind and gentle spirit, extending his warmth to all living beings, both human and animal.

Kyle grew up in Portland and pursued his education locally, attending Adult Education in Biddeford, followed by York Community College, where he studied baking. His love for computers and video games often brought him together with his older brothers for gaming sessions. Kyle also cherished the outdoors, frequently taking long walks and enjoying swims, embracing the tranquility of nature.

He leaves behind a loving family: his mother, Jay Hoel of Portland; stepmother, Bobbie Libby of Steep Falls; older brother, John Wheeler, his wife, Ashley Lowell, and their children, Sarah and Connor of Steep Falls; brother, Justin Wheeler and his girlfriend, Stacey Bernier of Falmouth; sister, Rissa Scholes of Sanford; grandmother, Fran Robinson and her husband, David of Sanford; uncle, Al of Sanford; aunt, Kathy and her family of Scarborough; and uncle, Greg and his wife of New Hampshire. Kyle was preceded in death by his father, Michael Scholes of Ellsworth, Maine; grandfather, Brian of Boston, Massachusetts; and great-grandmother, Marion of Sanford, Maine.

The remembrance service for Kyle will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Advantage Funeral Home. Kyle's gentle presence and compassionate nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
