HOPLEY, Lorne William December 9, 1964 - January 1, 2007 Mr. Lorne Hopley of Pickardville, AB passed at the age of 42 years. He is survived by his loving wife Connie of 19 years; children, Jodi (John), Jamie (Connor), Shanondoah (Scott), and Jacquelyn; grandchildren, Sam, Katy, Gabriel; parents, Donald Hopley, Lydia (George) Van Hove; sister, Laurine (John) Melo; brother, Randy Van Hove; also numerous family and many friends. Lorne was a solid community member, belonging to the Pickardville Fire Department, and the Busby and District Lions Club. Memorial Service will be held Saturday January 6, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Busby Community Hall. In lieu of flowers anyone wishing to make a donation to help the family re-establish would be greatly appreciated. Westlock Funeral Home Ltd. 780-349-3474

Lorne Hopley was a very nice and friendly man. He cared for us all and we all cared for him. We all will sadly miss him very, very much. I hope he is in peace.

Lorne will be sadly missed by those that have come to know him and his generous personality. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Connie, the children, grandchildren and rest of family. It is still hard to believe that he is actually gone. In time, maybe we all can come to the realization and acceptance.

Our Neighbours and Friends, The Hopley Family... Words cannot even BEGIN to express to you how sorry we are in the Loss of Lorne... He was such a warm, friendly, neighbourly man who will be missed. In this time, we just hope that God wraps you in the tenderness of his care, so that days seem a 'little' more bearable!
