I just heard tonight that Marianne passed away. She hired me to work in the mailroom of American Eagle back in 1984. I started the week of Thanksgiving. She wanted me to start on the Wednesday before just so I could be paid for the 2 day holiday, Thanksgiving and the day after. That was just the kind of manager and thoughtful person she was. As I was young when I started at AE she taught me about the corporate world. I honestly can say she was the best manager I have worked for because she motivated you that you wanted to work for her and the company and thus this is why I am still working for AE today. I loved and admired her and the relationship she had with her husband and family. She would tell me of Butch's hunting stories as I came from a family of hunters. I am deeply saddened she didn't get to enjoy a long retirement. To her family.....know she was a wonderful, thoughtful, intellectual person who was loved by many and you have my deepest sympathy. Sending hugs and prayers.

I was very sorry to hear about Marianne's passing. I have worked at America Eagle for almost 20 years within our Global Logistics area and Marianne worked with us very closely. Marianne was always happy and such a great leader and loyal employee who dedicated over 30 years to the company.
My heart and prayers go out to Marianne's family for your loss, she loved and treasured her family very much. She will be missed by all.

I was saddened to hear of Marianne's passing. I worked at America Eagle for 30 years in Finance for most of those years. Marianne was a dedicated employee who held her staff to higher standards. In the later years when our paths would cross at AE, we would catch up with each other's lives and I'll always remember her kindness. I wish she would have enjoyed a longer retirement.
My prayers are with Marianne's family and hope her memories will bring you comfort and know that you were her life and joy.
