Eugene - Mary Kathryn Church Kennedy of Eugene Oregon went home to the Lord on July 6, 2023. She was born on Dec 5,1934 in Boise Idaho to Walter Scott and Leona Church. After graduating high school, she married Raymond Lee Kennedy on November 20, 1953. They began their life in the US Army for the next 27 years living in six different countries while raising six children.

Mary dedicated her life to the Lord, her husband and her family. She was very involved in her children's lives as they grew into adults. She was the PTA President and volunteered at many school functions in support of her family and community. As a Gold Star wife, she devoted her time to the many Veterans Programs. She was Oregon State President to the Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars. She also served with a group of community volunteers in the early stages of the need for the Relief Nursery in Eugene Oregon. She was an avid gardener as well as an enthusiastic beach comber while in the Marshall Islands.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Ray Kennedy and her son Jeffery Clay Kennedy who passed away on October 20, 1984.

Mary is survived by her children, Wanda Kay, Allen Ray, Scott Jay (Frances), Sheila Gay and Paula May. Her grandchildren Daniel Eric (Hillary) Parent, Heather Rae (Corey) Mcintosh, Katherine Elizabeth Kennedy (Parker Laing), and Emily Rebecca Kennedy. Her great grandchildren Cody Duane Mcintosh, Jordyn Mathew Mcintosh, Maryssa Shae (Bobby) Russell, Ayden Chase Mcintosh,

Hadley Rae Parent and one great-greatgrandchild Ryder Scott Mcintosh. Her sisters Shirley Rosenvall of Boise Idaho, Mary Church of Cornelius Oregon and Gracie (Church) Call of Sparks Nevada.

Mary requested cremation and her ashes will be scattered at a private family affair.
