Bridgewater - Mary A. McLaughlin, of Bridgewater, formerly of Waltham, passed away on September 11, 2024. She was 71. Mary had a magnetic personality that people gravitated towards, and she was happiest when surrounded by those she loved. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Martha's Vineyard and Hilton Head. She was a talented poet, and her family is grateful for the many poems she leaves behind. As an avid fan of Wizard of Oz, Mary truly embodied the sentiment that "there's no place like home." She will be deeply missed.

Devoted mother of Leslie Kola and her husband Beni of Raynham and the late Jessica McLaughlin. Cherished Mia of Emma, AJ, and William. Loving sister of Stephen Cincotta and his wife Pat of Osterville and Donna Capozzoli and her fiancé Tony Innocenzi of Bridgewater. Also survived by nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Mary was a 1970 graduate of Waltham High and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1974 from Boston State College. Mary took immense pride in her position as a revenue officer, which she held for over 30 years at the Internal Revenue Service. Her career brought her great joy, as it combined her love of travel and teaching.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday, September 22nd from 11am-1pm at Chapman Funerals and Cremations, 98 Bedford Street in Bridgewater. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 1pm. A private burial in Central Cemetery in East Bridgewater will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Mary may be made to Mass General for Children, c/o Massachusetts General Hospital Development Office, 125 Nashua Street Suite 540, Boston, MA 02114, to support pediatric patients and their families.
