Matthew Ginsburg Obituary
Passed away peacefully at home on May 23rd 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Lauren (Nightingale) and loving father of Eden Sima born eight weeks ago. Cherished son of Karen (Lisus) and Jonathan Ginsburg and revered brother of Michael (Australia), Jason (China) and Antony (Australia). Treasured grandson of Monica and Max Lisus and son-in-law of Karen and Benny Nightingale (Waterloo) and brother-in-law of Stephanie and Jackie. Will be missed by his uncles, aunts and cousins. Special thanks to Dr Gary May and the staff of Cardinal 16 St Michaels Hospital, Toronto and to Dr Donald Deegan and Dr Denise Marshall and the staff of St Elizabeth and all the personal support workers who helped look after Matthew during his brave and short battle with cancer. Service will be at Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel on Friday 25th May, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. (www.benjamins.ca) Interment at Padre Chaim Cemetery (11818 Bathurst Street Richmond Hill ON L6A1S2) immediately following service. In lieu of flowers please make donations in memory of Dr Matthew Ginsburg to Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation and specify to Palliative Psychiatry Training Program as part of Al Hertz Centre for Supportive and Palliative Care Fund (www.pmhf.ca).

Dear Lauren and family,
I would like to offer up my sincerest of condolences. I had the great pleasure of attending medical school with Matt. He was truly a remarkable man, whose life was cut too short. His wonderful sense of humour and smile was uplifting, and I know I am forever privileged to have known him. May you find strength and peace during this difficult time, and may Eden be a constant reminder of just one of the many remarkable legacies that Matt left behind. He will be forever missed, but not forgotten.

Dear Lauren and family,
my sincerest condolences to you and your family. Matt was a dear classmate of mine in medical school and I will never forget our chit-chats during psychiatry residency interviews, especially when he was describing you and how you guys were planning your wedding and how he was radiating with love for you.I'm still speechless at this loss as I can still picture Matt talking and laughing, but we were all truly blessed to know him in our lives.
