Michael Shane Headrick

Michael Shane Headrick, 41, of Longview, Texas, was born on May 18, 1981 in Lufkin Texas to Terry Riddles and Mike Brown and passed away on April 22, 2023.

Michael was a devoted father, a hardworking and caring person. He had a great sense of humor, and his smile could light up a room. He was a huge prankster and his Army buddies nicknamed him "Headache." Michael graduated from Springhill High School in Longview, Texas. He proudly served as a decorated soldier and earned various medals and awards while in the Army from 2000 to 2004.

After his military service, Michael worked as a Coil Supervisor at Cretic Energy, Equipment Operator at Quintana Energy Services, Supervisor at Key Energy Services, and Coil Tubing Supervisor at Integrated Production Services.

Michael enjoyed football, coaching youth sports, fishing, cooking, and traveling. He was of the Christian faith.

Michael is survived by his mother Terry Riddles, father Mike Brown, brother Jeff Headrick, stepbrother Justin Riddles, stepsister Stacy Woodard, and his children Preston, Tucker, and Cooper from Longview. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, and loved ones. Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents Carl and Pauline Headrick, Brother Jon Walsh, Grandfather Bobby Brown, and Uncle Joseph Gilbert.

Visitation and a ceremony will be held at the Chapel of The Garden of Memories Memorial Park in Lufkin, TX, on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at 12:00 pm. The address is 5205 S. First Street Lufkin, TX 75901. Pallbearers will be Mike Brown, Justin Riddles, Ryan McNeal, Casey Reynolds, Roger Cortez, and Kevin Weatherly. Honorary Pallbearer will be Cody Wayne Lee. A reception will follow at Ralph & Kacoo's Seafood Restaurant at 3107 S. First Street Lufkin TX 75901.
