With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Mira on May 28, 2013 at the age of 34 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Masa; parents, Milina and Milomir; sister, Gordana (Rasa); Masa's father, Dejam; and the rest of her family. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Ocean View Funeral Home Chapel, 4000 Imperial St., Burnaby, with entombment to follow at the South Mausoleum.

My dear, beautiful sister. It's been 8 years since we last saw you. Time goes by fast and alot has changed but what remains constant is how much we miss you and think about you. You always brightened up any room with your kind smile and warm eyes. Anyone that met you felt welcomed. You just had an affect on people. Every time we go past a movie set in Vancouver we think of you, and how much you loved being an actress. You were creative and smart and witty with a flair for the arts and fashion. You loved to travel and experience new food and cultures. But your greatest joy and pride is your amazing daughter Masa, who you had so many adventures with and love fiercely. I miss our talks and fondly read the many emails we shared. There's so much we wish we could share with you. Life isn't the same without you and time has not healed the deep pain in our hearts. How can it? You were an extraordinary person from the day you came into our lives and you always will be. We have some comfort in knowing you're in Heaven, watching over us.
You're the best daughter, mother and sister who will forever be in our hearts. We miss you. We love you so very much.

Hello, Popovic Family,
I came to Mira's memorial, but did not sign this guestbook. I see that it welcomes original poems, and it so happens I wrote this poem just a few days after Mira died. It came to mind again recently, so I thought I would offer it here.

Because you are sleeping,
I cannot sleep.
Your June eve reverie
has carried you like poplar snow...
floating out of nowhere
to the smile of white sun
on walking water,
cradling like Serbian summer,
infinite and free of bitter,
clear as infant eyes
that suddenly recognize faces,
see their mother, know the power
of softness and a voice that sings
them to abandoning sleep.
Your sleep has taken you away from me,
but has brought you into me
too, into me and into
the many ‘you's' that you
have talked to, played, made
laugh, touched, even lightly,
lit up with, lit up, helped live, left.
And inside us now, above
the broken caged clay
that's cold and wants
more than ever to hold you,
like cloud that makes
earth colours bright,
you are wide awake.

Saw of her passing at the end of Continuum also.I lost my wife from cancer at the age of 49, 34 is a very young age, remember that out of the darkness comes the light. My deepest sympathy to all her family and friends.

I only heard of her passing at such a young due to the fact I watch Continuum , but no matter the fact , she has entered and left my life my heart felt sympathies go out to her family and friends, loss is unbearable , but knowing she can live on through other people and reach across the world maybe helps ease the pain..

Ne postoji dovoljno rijeci kojima bih mogla opisati kako se svi osjecamo u ovim trenutcima! Izgubili smo jednu divnu osobu: majku, kcer, prijateljicu, susjedu, tetu!!!
